D&D Dice Tower

How it rolled out of control! It all started with a Birthday wish! A family member had invited me to his birthday party. This party was not a regular party though; it was a Dungeons and Dragons game. Not only just a D&D game for him but his first time as a Dungeon Master. I found the "Dungeons & Dragons dice tower” at an auction and I knew I needed this for his birthday. Well I rolled some dice down and they shot all the way across the table and onto the floor. Oh, no, I can't have this!!! So what did I do? I designed and built a special base for the dice tower that would catch the dice. But, that was that enough, NO! I then had to make it cool! How would I do this? Well I added two towers, one on each side. Next I added LED lights on the towers. Then a light to see the dice you just rolled. The last set of lights were to go inside the two lava pools near the exit part of the dice tower. I am good but not that good, I did need help coding the controls so I hired some professionals to code my LEDs. Below are a few images and then one 40 second video showing the dice tower and its add-ons. And then I rolled into the “Tiles,” “Cave,” and other small props.
